Embedded Diagnostics SW Engineer SKILLS Generic • 7+ years experience in the Embedded Diagnostics development field • Solid firmware development skills and practices • Familiar with HW building blocks FPGAs, memories, processors, etc and strategies to test them • Knowledge of JTAG chains, UART communication protocol, device driver development, system throughputs, compliance tests is an added advantage • Knowledge of SW tools (CVS, Bugzilla, etc) used for SW development • Team player able to interact with Hardware, ASIC, Manufacturing and Software teams • Able to document diagnostics via Test Plans, Test Procedures, User and Design docs. Embedded Firmware • MIPS Assembly Language and MIPS processor architecture • Exposure to Networking Processors is a plus • Expertise in C language, make files and linker scripts • Knowledge on any Real Time Operating System (RTOS) • Knowledge of writing boot code, boot loader and POST sequence • Experience developing diagnostic packages for embedded hardware platforms Linux OS • Expertise with Linux OS • Knowledge of GNU tool chains (like gcc, gdb and glib – gnu compiler, debugger, and linker) • Knowledge of uboot (universal boot loader) and grub boot loader
Software Engineer (Testing) - Should have Bachelor/ Master’s degree in Computer Science/ Electrical/ Electronics engineering. - Proficiency in C and any one scripting language desirable (Shell, Perl, Tcl/Expect) - Domain knowledge of Networking Application/Solutions/NMS is required. - 1-3+ years in manual test and/or automation Responsibility:- - Test plan /Case Design and automated test development. - Will execute manual Tests and automated tests. Verification Manager Responsibility:- Manager will be responsible for managing a team of 15+ highly experienced ASIC verification engineers and contractors working of complex networking/security ASICs. The tasks include developing chip and system level verification test plans, defining and implementing verification methodology and environment, FPGA based emulation, and regression testing. Requirements: - Should have Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics engineering with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in verifying complex ASICs - Domain knowledge of networking and/or security is essential, experience with embedded processors is desirable - Should have hands on experience with C/C++/SystemC, and developing verification environment/test plans	Senior ASIC Verification Engineer Responsibility:- Sr. Verification engineer will be responsible for carrying out verification of major modules/blocks of a multi-million gate networking/security ASIC. The tasks include defining module level verification plans, developing test bench architecture, writing verification test scripts and doing regression testing. Requirements: - Should have Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics engineering with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in verifying complex ASICs - Experience with embedded RISC processors and associated tool-chain and/or Ethernet networking is essential - Should have experience with block and module level verification of complex multi-million gate designs, and FPGA based emulation.	Audit Group Responsibility:- Candidate must be passionate about developing robust programs; must have experience and an eye for catching programming pitfalls; must be a proven practioner of defensive programming techniques. Should have 6 to 10 yrs. experience in C/C++, VxWorks/Linux, embedded environment.
