VisionPLUS - Senior Analyst Programmer
Job Description:
This position manages the analysis, development & implementation of VisionPlus,
both peripherals and customisation of products, as required by the clients in
the credit card sector. It will involve liaison & direct contact with clients &
project work necessitating travel to client locations; Design and deliver cobol
based applications to required requirements on VisionPlus products;
Lead & manage, as required, a small technical team to deliver to defined client
requirements; Work within the project team to assist & ensure delivery of the
project to required specifications & timeframes;
Take responsibility for the technical design, development & architectural areas
of the project; Ensure all developments are documented & solutions meet client
requirements;
Required Technical skills
Cobol, CICS, JCL, IDCAMS, BMS, MVS and VSAM file structure. In depth
understanding of VisionPLUS v 8 and v2.5;
Knowledge of CMS module.
Advantageous skills – experience in TRAMS, and or FAS modules;
Minimum of 2 years experience in working on Vision Plus; Experience in the
utilisation of Vision Plus in the credit card market with regard to Europay,
Visa and Mastercard regulations and credit card processing; Understanding of
Clients business & how the product is already utilised by VisionPLUS Clients;
Excellent organisation & communication skills; Good written & verbal English is
required with European languages advantageous; To be able to work on-site at
client locations & ability to travel on the job for a minimum of 50% of the
time;
Excellent relocation & Visa sponsorship.

Analyst
Programmer - Credit Card VisionPlus - Singapore
Position Description
Position Summary:
The primary role of Analyst Programmer Credit Card VisionPlus is to be
accountable for the resolution of all assigned VisionPlus application level
issues within the agreed SLA targets for the relevant Client.
Responsibilities may extend to include team leadership and motivation, team resourcing and performance standards, as well as the analysis, design and
development of all small to medium scale projects involving enhancements and
modification to the VisionPlus application on behalf of the assigned market. The
position requires wide range of management, technical and analytical skills to
manage critical situations and resolve and identify root cause of processing
failures.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for the VisionPlus credit card application system
within the assigned modules
Contribute to the guidance, support and motivation within the assigned team
Liaise and escalate with US and Australia based teams on issue resolution
Undertake the resolution of production issues with clients and other software
vendors Responsible for analysis, design and development of small to medium
scale projects
Provide training as required within the assigned team to develop junior team
members and transfer skills
Ensure that First Data development methodologies and standards are followed
Operate within the agreed contractual guidelines and meet agreed Client SLA
measures
Measures of Success:
Resolve processing issues in timely manner to meet internal and external SLAs
Complete development of projects in accordance with project requirements and
internal and external client expectations
Maintain high quality in development and support tasks Contribute to the
maintenance of team staff levels and competency levels
Generate positive feedback from the Client in terms of contractual obligations
Skills Requirements
Skills - Entry Requirements: In excess of 3 years VisionPlus application
support / development experience
Sound programming skills in COBOL and proficiency with IBM mainframe platform
Familiarity with a software design and development methodology
Strong analytical skills IT project/support team leadership experience
Skills - Objective Level: IBM Mainframe skills
Strong programming skills required using CICS, COBOL, DB2, SQL
Detailed understanding of mainframe file system VSAM is a must
Familiarity with scheduling tool CA-7 or Control-M is required
Familiarity with Endevor and Infoman is desirable
Demonstrated skills in the VisionPlus application, involving 2-3 modules
Network Skills Familiarity SNA, Frame relay and TCP/IP is desirable
File transmission tools Knowledge of file transmission tools FTP, Connect Direct
and Cyber Fusion Design and Analysis
Detailed understanding of software development life cycle is required
Management Skills Experience in leading, staffing and motivating an IT team in
satisfying agreed Client expectations
Education: Graduate in computer science (or similar IT degree) or
equivalent experience is required.
Work Experience: At least 3 years experience in a support / development
role in the cards industry. Previous team leadership experience would be very
useful.
Personal Qualities: Motivated self starter, with demonstrated leadership
ability or aspirations who is able to generate respect and work effectively
within an established team. Ability to prioritise and work effectively with
minimal supervision. Good written and verbal communication skills Demonstrate
effective situation management skills when under pressure situations
Training and Development plan for this position: First Data Orientation, to be
completed within 1 month of commencement for external recruits Staff in this
position will be expected to undertake training to broaden their skill set by
undertaking training, both externally and internally, to acquire and enhance
their skills in specific technical skills and applications, as well as further
develop Team Leadership and Management skills.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To manage a project team responsible for the planning and implementation of
PaySys systems and products.
KEY CONTACTS/RELATIONSHIPS: (Internal & External)
· Client Project Director or Manager
· Third Party Project Manager (if applicable)
· Head of Professional Services Asia Pacific
· Professional Services in Melbourne and Asia
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Planning, organising and controlling the activities associated with the
installation, conversion, training, enhancement, testing and implementation of
software products for Asia/Pacific customers.
· Develop goals and objectives, manage resources, plans & budgets to achieve
profitable and successful project completion.
· Provide advice and guidance on the use of PaySys product implementation
methodologies.
· Supervise employees in the resolution of software problems and provide
feedback to managed customers.
· Ensure that customers always have the necessary up-to-date software and
documentation to prevent known problems affecting them.
· Monitor the established implementation plan for each customer and arrange for
recruitment of assignment of PaySys personnel to assist as needed.
· Oversee the setup and maintenance of account records.
· Initiate and run regular project reviews with managed customers.
· Ensure that customers are kept fully informed of PaySys product enhancements
and developments.
· Prepare and present project status reports for management, client, or others.
Confer with Product Specialist personnel within Asia Pacific to provide
technical advice and to resolve problems, as required.
· Act as intermediary between customers and other support organisations within
PaySys Asia Pacific (i.e. Training Department) in planning, monitoring and
reporting.
· Travel Internationally and Domestically.
MAJOR CHALLENGES:
· Ability to establish and maintain customer relations with diplomacy while
managing project execution in the achievement of milestones and objectives.
SUPERVISION OF OTHERS:
· Project team, when required.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
· Project completed successfully and within timeframe.
· Client feedback (verbal).
· Feedback from Head of Professional Services, Asia Pacific.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
· 8 years experience in the IT industry.
· Relevant Tertiary qualification in IT (eg. Computer Science)
· Credit Card experience (ie. CardPac, VisionPlus, Cardlink)
· Proven project management, business and leadership skills.
· Excellent verbal/written communication.
· Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
· Experience in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project.
· Ability to work individually and unsupervised.
