Ever since the Ram Sethu issue broke out following the Delhi Central Government's affidavit fiasco in the Supreme Court during the second week of September 2007, the DMK leader Karunanidhi  has been on an offensive and has even questioned the existence of Lord Ram.

Of late Karunanidhi has started to display his utter disregard to the Hindus. He seems to be losing his control over emotions.

Responding fittingly to Karunanidhi, the ever brilliant Cho Ramaswamy wrote in his weekly "Thuglak"  that Nalan had built the Ram Sethu at the request of Rama. And according to Valmiki Nala had all the skills and knowledge to build the bridge.

Participating in a demonstration organised in this holy island of  RAMESWARAM  to protect the Ram Sethu, VHP International President Ashok Singhal said all Hindu organisations and saints would unite to oppose any move to destroy one of the "most important and holy monuments" for the Hindus -- Ram Sethu.

He disagreed with the view that Ram Sethu  was not a structure built by human beings but a natural formation and maintained there was enough historical evidence even in government Administration reports, and Department of Earth Science's report to show that it was a man-made structure.

Claiming that the Centre had fallen a prey to America's "conspiracy" to make the Palk Strait, now shared only by India and Sri Lanka, international waters, he said the site had more than 3.60 lakh tonnes of thorium that could be used for making power for another 100 years for the entire country.
