Test Architect - Hyderabad

Our clients are the world's No.1  software company, provide a variety of products and services.

They  looking for experienced Test Architect who can help them design key portions of the infrastructure for their various
centers of excellence. Primary responsibility of a test architect is to provide technical leadership and strategic direction for
their testing organization. The position help to drive the creation of a solid test architecture, own analyzing their  current
processes, tools and applications and providing feedback on how to improve them and improve test effectiveness. The position
has a critical role of working with multiple database warehouses and key tools. In short, the test architect will own the technology
architecture with a 3 year roadmap. Needless to say this position requires a highly motivated,  self-sufficient with a strong PASSION
for technology to work with like-minded highly skilled and talented individuals.

Overall Scope/Impact:

The test architect position will test, prove and communicate the value of various technologies effectively, to both the implementers
and executives, as well as influence business groups on technical direction of syste. This role is expected to be able to affect
change not only across the testing community, but between development and program management communities as well. A Test
architects must drive quality across all disciplines, providing guidance, feedback, and suggestions to improve quality practices across
an entire engineering team

Key Deliverables

·  Requires driving quality across all disciplines, providing guidance, feedback, and suggestions to improve quality practices across
    an entire engineering team.
·   Define and guide the product test, release, and deployment process, collaborate effectively with development, test and program
    management teams to skillfully execute on milestones, deliverables in a timely manner
·   Drive test methodology, process, and technique innovation and adoption in order to achieve engineering excellence
·   Work across the company's  test leadership and development and program management community to drive synergy and appropriate
     integration and efforts to deliver innovative global engineering
·    Contribute to local customer and partner engagements in concert with customer/partner initiative in order to expand our product
     influence in the global stage
·    Design a solid automation framework where test scripts are reusable and easy maintained.
·    Implement and execute functional, Performance, upgrade, sanity, and smoke testing suite for the entire product.
·    Ability to synthesize business requirements into Technical Solutions and Architectures, research and evaluate new BETA technologies
     through incubations, proofs-of-concept (POC’s), prototypes, where necessary as a hands-on participant.
·    Would be expected to own or work on one or more of these initiatives including…

§  working with development architects on refining the designs
§  determining the right technologies to use
§  figuring out how we should use the technologies
§  building code and components to fill gaps
§  designing, building and testing prototypes and POC’s to prove functionality
 
Required Technical skills:

The Ideal candidate will have:
·   Lead the development of automated test harnesses and automation tools in all areas of product quality testing including
   GUI automation, back-end, and database.
·  Domain knowledge – experience in a given area, knowledge of the state of the art, fully aware of cross-company projects
   in the area of expertise
·  Accountability and Results Oriented  – investing a Test Architect in a certain area virtually guarantees results. A good Test Architect
    is accountable and driven towards results.
·   Broad technical expertise – not good enough to be an expert in one area – must have breadth knowledge of the software development
     process, technical expertise and coding ability.
·   Strong technical Design ability – a good Test Architect must be able to provide high level design documents as well as in depth technical designs
·   Project Management abilities – the job requires others to get things done, and solid project management skills are a must
·   Creativity and Innovation – there are high expectations for a Test Architect to apply him/herself to a problem and come up with a set of possible
     solutions. In addition to the domain knowledge, the Test Architect needs to be creative and capable of new and innovative thinking.
·    Track record for delivery on time and quality, and a passion for customer self-service/platforms, and ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies
·    Ability to know when and how to execute independently &/or authoritatively with Business & Technology groups.
·    Help us continue innovation of our product development model/methodologies to further emphasize quality
·    Strong software design experience.

Other requirements
·         Experience of 9+ years building large scale systems or services, with about 4yrs in software development is preferred.
·         Demonstrated clear and thorough Logical, Problem Solving and Analytical Thinking skills
·         Good communication skills and Ability to work across the company
·         Aptitude of working on multiple projects in parallel.
·         A MS/BS degree in related field.
·         Ability to motivate, and energize a diverse team of engineers
·         Ability to grow employees via mentoring, training or as a consultant on projects.
